The Identity Infrastructure of Global Mobility

Global Vehicle Identity Network (GVIN) is a decentralized, patent-protected vehicle identity protocol that uses encrypted broadcasts and a blockchain registry.

Designed for both public and private sector deployment, GVIN enables governments, OEMs, fleets, and mobility platforms to verify vehicle identity across borders and jurisdictions - without relying on centralised databases or surveillance.

The protocol is governed through an open, multi-stakeholder model to ensure technical, legal, and ethical integrity at scale.

Replaces The Plate

The GVIN Mission

The Global Vehicle Identity Network (GVIN) exists to create a trusted, universal standard for digital vehicle identity. Our mission is to replace outdated, visible identifiers like license plates with a secure, cryptographically verifiable system that empowers governments, automakers, fleets, insurers, and drivers alike. By ensuring privacy, interoperability, and accountability, GVIN is building the foundation for safer roads, smarter mobility, and a more connected world.

Built for governments, fleets, smart cities, and global mobility.

Encrypted Identity Device (EID)

At the heart of GVIN is the EID – a tamper-proof, factory or retrofit installed module that anchors vehicle identity in secure, encrypted, broadcast-enabled, hardware.

Hardware (EID)

Securely stores cryptographic key material, including a VIN-derived GVI (Global Vehicle Identifier) and hardware-issued credentials

Encrypted Vehicle Signatures (EVS)

Generates and broadcasts rotating pseudonymous payloads with signed identity assertions over multi-layered transmission architecture enabling remote verification without a handshake.

Global Vehicle Identity Network Register (GVINR)

A permission and blockchain ledger maintained by trusted nodes across jurisdictions. Allows permissioned third parties (law-enforcement, insurers, regulators, and other stakeholders) access to controlled, auditable, APIs.

User Access

Enables vehicle owners and fleet operators to maintain cryptographic control over their vehicle's identity and compliance state.
